"República de El Salvador" is the offical name for El Salvador and it literally means "Republic of the Savior."El Salvador is the smallest and most densely populated country in Central America. It borders the Pacific Ocean between Guatemala and Honduras. It's independence from Spain was granted September 15, 1821.
